I used to love this poem back when I was a girl. Now that I’m a woman, I find myself being mad everyday at every damn thing. My people, other people, the education system, politics, etc. Like I’m irritated and tired.

This is genuinely one of the most empowering pieces of writing that I have ever listened to. I watched this for my African American and Diaspora Studies course this semester and I keep coming back to it. Chills every single time.
